It surprised us too....
Following the successful run of the Duchess BlackSun looked for a new equally challenging though more humourous project to work on. And so it happened out of a debate over whether Chekhov really is as great as everyone makes out that 100% Comedy was born. Jemma was working on extracts from Chekhov's The Seagull when a colleague introduced her to The Bear for the first time. It was funny. It was really funny. And apparently there were other short, funny pieces too. And before Trudy knew what was happening BlackSun were mounting four of them. And is now touring. And hopefully other people are realising that Chekhov is funny too.
